Job Purpose
This internship offers an opportunity to learn and support the overall mission of the Education Sector. Interns will be assigned based on their specialization and the sector's needs, with activities varying accordingly. The role involves contributing to programme and project support, research and knowledge management, partnership development, and operations support. Interns will gain insight into developing and managing education projects, understanding multilateral processes, and carrying out data analysis. They will also learn about global policy-making in education, international project management, and develop domain knowledge in education projects, alongside essential research, writing, communication, and soft skills.
Responsibilities
Interns will support the Education Sector's mission by engaging in various activities. This includes participating in the preparation and review of project documents, drafting notes, and preparing technical annexes. They will assist in developing conceptual frameworks and concept notes for new work areas or development challenges, and in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Contributions will be made to the production of documents, working papers, and technical support for new interventions. Research tasks involve undertaking specific reviews to produce segments of work products like publications and project proposals, and contributing to knowledge products and advocacy materials. Partnership support includes analyzing data for potential partnerships and fundraising, and liaising with national administrations, researchers, and international organizations. Operational support involves assisting in the planning and organization of meetings, events, and workshops, and supporting budget and financial documentation preparation.
