Job Purpose
This internship within the Bureau of Human Resources Management (HRM) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to UNESCO's mission by supporting its human resources functions. Interns will work under the direct supervision of HR specialists and contribute to various areas within HRM, including Management Support, Staffing & Recruitment, HR Staff Services, Pension & Insurance, Classification & Compensation, HR Strategic Support, HR Policy Coordination, Performance Leadership, and Learning & Partnerships Development. The role involves assisting with document preparation, data collection and analysis, research, communication material development, and providing administrative support for meetings and workshops.
Responsibilities
Interns will support the Bureau of Human Resources Management's mission through various tasks depending on assignment needs. Key responsibilities include contributing to the preparation of documents, working papers, and concept notes related to HR challenges. Interns will collect, organize, and analyze data, and assist in developing technical support for new interventions or projects. They will undertake research and reviews to produce parts of documents and presentations, and contribute to the creation of communication materials. Additionally, interns will participate in meetings and seminars, and provide administrative and logistical support for the planning and organization of briefings, information sessions, and workshops.
Work Experience
No specific prior work experience is mandated for this internship. However, candidates are expected to possess excellent computer skills, proficiency in office-related software, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team within an international environment.
