Organizational Context
The Sinergia+ project aims to strengthen CONANP's management processes, enhancing its capacity for results-based planning, financial management, and strategic alliances. This role supports the institutional strengthening and effective management of Natural Protected Areas (ANP) by fortifying the legal affairs directorate in decree processes.
Job Purpose
This role contributes to the Sinergia+ project by supporting the CONANP's Legal Affairs Directorate in strengthening the processes for establishing priority Natural Protected Areas (ANP). The primary purpose is to follow up on and integrate information and documentation required for decree elaboration, thereby contributing to institutional objectives. The position directly supports Result 1: Institutional strengthening and management for effective conservation in ANPs, ensuring the legal framework for ANP establishment is robust and well-documented.
Responsibilities
Provide support in coordinating and monitoring activities with CONANP administrative units and other involved entities for the elaboration of ANP decrees. Contribute to organizing and tracking public consultation processes for ANP establishment. Assist in integrating, reviewing, organizing, and updating technical, legal, and administrative documentation related to ANP decrees and declarations. Aid in reviewing and organizing supporting studies, draft decrees, notices, and other documentation for ANP establishment or modification. Address technical, administrative, and documentary requirements to support the development and follow-up of ANP establishment and modification processes.
Work Experience
For candidates with a High School Diploma, at least 4 years of verifiable experience are required. For candidates with a university degree, at least 1 year of experience is required in the legal framework for establishing Natural Protected Areas.
Skills
Experience in quality report preparation. Experience in analyzing legal instruments for ANP decree establishment. Desired: Knowledge/experience in administrative-legal processes, ANP decree elaboration processes, technical/legal opinions for new ANP decrees, and document management.
