Technical Project Associate
Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Türkiye Country Office, within its Preparedness, Response and Resilience Programme, focuses on Social Cohesion and Inclusion Support for Refugees in Türkiye. This role is part of a project aimed at strengthening social cohesion and improving well-being for refugees and host communities. The Technical Project Associate will be based at the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) premises in Ankara.
Job Purpose
The Technical Project Associate will support the technical coordination and follow-up of project activities implemented in collaboration with the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM). This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of technical information, needs, and inputs between PMM, UNDP, and other relevant institutions. The associate will contribute to aligning project activities with PMM's institutional priorities and national strategies. By facilitating effective communication and coordination, the role directly supports the project's objectives of strengthening social cohesion, enhancing meaningful participation in social and economic life, and improving the well-being of vulnerable populations in Türkiye. The position plays a key part in the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at fostering integration and harmonious coexistence.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and follow up on project activities within PMM, ensuring timely information flow between PMM and the UNDP project team. Align project activities with PMM's institutional priorities and work plans. Manage technical matters among PMM units, provincial directorates, UNDP, and other institutions, resolving technical requests and decisions. Collect and consolidate technical inputs for project outputs, ensuring alignment with PMM needs. Review technical deliverables from experts and service providers. Prioritize and communicate technical and operational needs from PMM units to the UNDP team. Provide administrative and operational support for project activities, including meetings, workshops, and field visits. Maintain project-related documentation, correspondence, and records. Support PMM's social cohesion activities by assisting in design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Reinforce PMM's field presence through research, outreach, and monitoring. Support inter-institutional coordination, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement. Coordinate data collection, management, and analysis for evidence-based decision-making. Support project-related knowledge generation, sharing, and capacity development activities.
Work Experience
Experience in migration, refugee studies, social cohesion, labor market participation, or related fields is required. Proven experience in supporting project implementation, including planning, follow-up, and reporting, is essential. Experience in coordinating with public institutions, local authorities, and international organizations is necessary. Proficiency in data collection, review, and presentation for monitoring and decision-making is expected. Administrative and logistical support experience for project activities is also required.
