With 70% of its economy tied to natural resources, the linkage between nature, climate, jobs, and economic empowerment is critical. UNDP Indonesia drives a strategic portfolio to transform commodity systems and sustainable land use through high-impact partnerships and innovative blended finance, recognizing the pivotal role of the private sector.

Job Purpose

The Private Sector Engagement Analyst will lead and coordinate UNDP Indonesia's engagement with the private sector to advance sustainable, inclusive, and market-oriented commodity development, particularly for land- and marine-based commodities. This role involves identifying, developing, and operationalizing strategic partnerships with various market actors to translate private sector engagement into tangible investments, market opportunities, sustainable sourcing arrangements, and improved outcomes for producers and landscapes. Responsibilities also include providing technical coordination for interventions related to sustainable trade, market access, and responsible sourcing, as well as facilitating policy dialogue and analysis on regulatory requirements affecting sustainable commodity production and trade.
