The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) operates in approximately 170 countries, focusing on poverty eradication, reducing inequalities, and promoting sustainable development. The Côte d'Ivoire Country Office is actively engaged in inclusive sustainable development, green growth, innovation, and governance, with a specific focus on peacebuilding and climate resilience initiatives.
Job Purpose
This internship offers students a practical learning experience within the UNDP Côte d'Ivoire Country Office, enhancing their educational background through hands-on work. It aims to expose interns to an international environment and the UNDP's mission, deepening their understanding of its objectives and activities. The role supports the Inclusive Sustainable Development (ISD) team, contributing to investment plans for Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), circular economy transition, blue economy projects, and eco-construction initiatives, thereby assisting the office in achieving its development goals.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the development of investment plans related to Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through data collection, analysis, research, and formulation. Responsibilities include contributing to the planning of the transition towards a circular economy and developing associated projects, as well as supporting blue economy projects and eco-construction initiatives. The role also involves drafting concept notes, project documents, and presentation materials, aiding in knowledge management and stakeholder coordination. General support to team activities and other related tasks assigned by the supervisor are also expected.
Work Experience
