Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide a student with hands-on experience in communication within an international organization. The intern will contribute to the implementation of the UNDP Benin Country Office's communication strategy by assisting in content creation, media monitoring, and event coverage. The role is designed to allow the intern to apply theoretical knowledge, develop professional skills in institutional communication, and gain a deeper understanding of UNDP's operations and development themes in a practical, international work environment.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the drafting of articles, press releases, success stories, web content, and social media posts. Responsibilities include assisting in the design and formatting of communication materials such as presentations, posters, brochures, and infographics. The role involves contributing to event coverage through photography, videography, report writing, and content dissemination. Additionally, the intern will support the management of digital platforms and social media, participate in the classification and archiving of photo and video resources, and conduct media and documentary monitoring related to UNDP activities and development topics. The intern will also attend team meetings and perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
No specific prior work experience is explicitly required, as this is an internship designed for students to gain practical experience. However, a background or demonstrated interest in multimedia design, photography, and video production would be beneficial.
