Organizational Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) operates in 166 countries, supporting governments in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Effective Development Cooperation Team, within the Bureau for External Relations and Advocacy, provides policy and technical support on development effectiveness. This role is part of the OECD-UNDP Joint Support Team (JST) for the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC).

Job Purpose

The Programme Coordination Analyst will support the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) in implementing its current Work Programme and planning for the next. This involves providing secretariat and communication support, promoting discussions at advocacy events, and maintaining country-level information. The role contributes to strengthening development effectiveness and accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda by facilitating coordination, communication, and outreach activities for the GPEDC and its stakeholders. The analyst will assist in preparing key documents, managing event logistics, and supporting the development of advocacy plans and monitoring outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide substantive support for GPEDC work and events, including drafting and editing concept notes, moderation notes, and communication materials. Compile and incorporate feedback on draft documents and track action items from meetings. Support communication activities by updating website content, disseminating materials, drafting press releases, and developing social media toolkits. Lead speaker outreach and confirmation for advocacy events. Prepare planning documents and communication materials for GPEDC High-Level Meetings and Busan Forums. Ensure event logistics are managed and communicated to stakeholders. Mobilize Steering Committee members to implement advocacy plans and develop new ones. Support the preparation of monitoring round outcomes, including drafting stories of progress and blogs. Update country pages on the GPEDC website and assist in coordinating advocacy opportunities and sharing key messages for partners.

Work Experience

A Bachelor's degree requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Programme Coordination and Management. Experience in policy research, analysis, drafting communication products, administrative and organizational tasks, and communications/outreach is essential. Experience supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships, organizing conferences/workshops, and familiarity with the GPEDC are desirable.
