This role supports the project's implementation by providing administrative and financial analysis.

Job Purpose

The Project Administrative and Finance Analyst will provide crucial financial and logistical support to the "Forest, Climate Change and Biodiversity SRBC Accelerator" project in Papua New Guinea. This role ensures the smooth implementation of project activities by managing payments, financial reporting, and administrative functions in compliance with UNDP guidelines. The analyst will contribute to effective project management, support national implementation activities, coordinate procurement, and facilitate logistical arrangements. By ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting, the role directly contributes to the project's success in strengthening climate resilience, promoting sustainable development, and enhancing environmental governance in Papua New Guinea.

Responsibilities

The Project Administrative and Finance Analyst is responsible for comprehensive planning and budget management, including collecting and analyzing data for work plans and budgets, preparing briefing materials, and maintaining project data in Quantum. They will provide essential administrative, operational, and logistical support for project activities, including recruitment, workshops, and missions, and coordinate procurement processes. Financial management duties involve monitoring expenditures, processing payments accurately and timely, and supporting budget tracking. The role also includes supporting monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and audit processes by compiling information, assisting in organizing meetings, maintaining filing systems, and facilitating communication with auditors. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to knowledge building and sharing initiatives within the project.

Work Experience

Applicants with a Master's degree require no professional work experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in administrative, finance, or project operations management at the national or international level. Experience with computer software, financial reporting, and procurement procedures is desired.
