Consultant(e) pour formation des formatrices sur la négociation collective et la médiation, Poste local pour les ressortissants tunisiens, basé à domicile, avec 10 jours de formation en présentiel.
Organizational Context
UN Women, in partnership with the ILO, is implementing a joint program to strengthen women's participation in social dialogue mechanisms in Tunisia. This initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of women in trade union decision-making bodies and collective bargaining. The role will contribute to building a pool of women trainers capable of negotiating, mediating, and facilitating training sessions on labor relations and gender equality.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to design and deliver two "Training of Trainers" (ToT) programs focused on collective negotiation and mediation for women trade unionists and businesswomen in Tunisia. The role will enhance participants' capacities to effectively negotiate, resolve labor conflicts, and conduct adult training sessions. By equipping these women with advanced skills and a gender-sensitive approach, the consultancy aims to foster greater gender equality in the workplace and strengthen social dialogue mechanisms within Tunisia's labor sector.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for developing a detailed methodological note, including the training agenda and evaluation tools. This includes designing the training curriculum and materials, such as a trainer's manual covering collective negotiation, mediation, and adult training techniques. Practical pedagogical materials, including presentations, role-plays, and case studies adapted to the Tunisian context, will be developed. A specific module on adult training techniques (andragogy, facilitation, design) will be created, along with evaluation tools for assessing participants' pedagogical skills. The consultant will also prepare a simple multiplication kit for trainers to use independently. During the training phase, the consultant will facilitate two five-day ToT sessions, employing participatory and practical approaches. This involves administering pre/post-training assessments, evaluating pedagogical skills, and assisting participants in developing concrete replication plans. Finally, the consultant will prepare a comprehensive analytical report detailing the training's progress, comparative results, participant feedback, disaggregated data, and recommendations for follow-up.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social dialogue, industrial relations, collective negotiation, and/or labor conflict mediation is required. Proven experience in designing and delivering adult training, including ToT programs, is essential. Demonstrated experience in active pedagogy, including andragogy, participatory facilitation, module design, and skills assessment, is also required. Experience in integrating gender into the workplace (e.g., pay equity, preventing violence and harassment, C190, Law No. 58-2017) is necessary. Knowledge of the Tunisian labor legal framework and trade union landscape is desirable, as is prior experience with the UN system (UN Women, ILO) or trade union organizations.
