UN Women Resource Mobilization and Advocacy Analyst
Organizational Context
UN Women is dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and Girls, administered by UN Women, provides financing to civil society organizations globally. This role supports the Trust Fund's new Strategic Plan (2026-2030) and its 30th anniversary, focusing on deepening support to frontline organizations and mobilizing resources.
Job Purpose
The Resource Mobilization and Advocacy Analyst will provide crucial capacity to advance the UN Trust Fund's priorities, including partner engagement, resource mobilization, and advocacy. This role supports the implementation of the Trust Fund's Strategic Plan and its 30th anniversary initiatives. The analyst will offer technical expertise and coordination for partnerships, advocacy, and resource mobilization efforts, contributing to the Trust Fund's mission to end violence against women and girls by securing and managing diverse funding streams and fostering strategic relationships.
Responsibilities
The analyst will support building and maintaining strategic relationships with Member States, private sector, and philanthropy, acting as a responsive entry point for partners and preparing engagement materials. They will coordinate resource mobilization by researching donor strategies, drafting proposals, and tracking the partnership pipeline. A key responsibility is supporting the 30th Anniversary Global Convening in Bonn, coordinating partner engagement and developing substantive content. The role also involves coordinating contracts and agreements, drafting advocacy and resource mobilization content, and supporting donor reporting and knowledge management. This includes developing a Donor FAQ document and providing flexible surge support for priority tasks.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in resource mobilization, partnership development, advocacy, or international development is required. Experience working with UN agencies, civil society organizations, or in a gender equality context is highly desirable. Proven experience in drafting proposals, managing stakeholder relations, and coordinating events is essential.
