Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to establish a roster of qualified facilitators for UN Women's HeForShe Barbershop Toolkit program. The facilitators will be responsible for preparing and delivering contextualized Barbershop sessions engaging men and boys in discussions on gender equality and equitable masculinities. The role involves adapting program content to local contexts, ensuring safe and inclusive learning environments, and contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts. Facilitators will also participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Barbershop methodology, supporting UN Women's broader goals of gender equality and women's empowerment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver contextualized Barbershop sessions for men and boys, adhering to UN Women's methodology and facilitation standards. Adapt the Barbershop Toolkit content to specific local languages, socio-cultural contexts, and participant profiles, ensuring alignment with partner needs. Facilitate dialogue on gender equality and equitable masculinities in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, adapting techniques to group dynamics while maintaining core learning objectives. Develop and submit post-workshop monitoring and evaluation reports, documenting participation, outcomes, and lessons learned. Contribute to the Barbershop community of practice by sharing insights, lessons learned, and good practices, and provide recommendations for future program improvements. Participate in mandatory onboarding and knowledge exchange webinars.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of work experience is required. This includes demonstrated experience in facilitating trainings, workshops, or dialogue-based programs focused on gender equality, male allyship, and equitable masculinities.
