Developed tools may be for internal JIU staff use or publicly accessible via the JIU website. The role offers a unique opportunity to understand the mandates and operational processes of various UN entities and gain practical experience in the field of oversight and inspection.
Responsibilities
Support and contribute to the design and development of advanced data analytics and visualization solutions. Develop tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) processes. Ensure developed solutions align with the JIU mandate. Potentially create tools for internal JIU staff and/or public access via the JIU website. Work collaboratively under the supervision of the JIU Executive Secretary or delegated Evaluation and Inspection Officers. Gain familiarity with the mandates, processes, and operational scope of numerous UN entities. Obtain exposure to the professional practices within the field of oversight.
