AI-enhanced DevSecOps development Intern
Organizational Context
This internship is within the Enterprise Solutions Service of the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT), hosted by UNESCAP in Bangkok, Thailand. The role is part of the UN Secretariat, focusing on AI-enhanced DevSecOps development. This is an unpaid, full-time, six-month internship.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide practical experience in AI-enhanced DevSecOps development within the UN Secretariat. The intern will support the Enterprise Solutions Service by scripting and configuring pipeline tools, evaluating and integrating AI models, deploying and testing pipelines, and automating application and source code audits. This role contributes to enhancing the efficiency and security of software development processes within the UN. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment, contributing to real-world projects and learning about the UN's operational framework.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include scripting and configuring various pipeline tools for code review, selecting and evaluating AI models for integration via API, and deploying and testing these pipelines against applications. The intern will also be involved in automating application and source code audits, committing code to Git repositories, and participating in weekly sprint meetings. Additionally, responsibilities encompass preparing documentation and creating demonstrations of the developed applications for various audiences. The intern will work under the supervision of a staff member, contributing to the daily tasks and projects of the Enterprise Solutions Service.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required for this internship. However, applicants should possess the ability to write code in Python, Bash, and PowerShell, and be proficient with software development tools such as Git and Azure DevOps pipelines. A demonstrated keen interest in the UN's work and the ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds are also important.
