TrainForTrade Intern (in-person or remote internship)
Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide students or recent graduates with practical experience in the work of the United Nations, specifically within UNCTAD's TrainForTrade Programme. The intern will gain exposure to trade-related issues, digital economy, trade statistics, and port management. This role contributes to the programme's objectives by supporting research, course management, content preparation, and communication activities, thereby enhancing the intern's educational journey and providing valuable support to the section's mandate.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist in conducting quantitative and qualitative background research on trade-related issues, digital economy, trade statistics, and port management. Responsibilities include participating in online meetings and webinars, contributing to the management of online courses, moderating forums, and communicating with participants. The intern will also prepare draft documents, including charts and graphs, assist with proofreading and editing publications and course materials, and contribute to social media activities and website content updates. Support for other section activities as required will also be part of the role.
