Job Purpose
This Vocational Training Instructor role is crucial for developing and delivering effective clothing technology training programs within UNRWA's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) framework. The instructor will be responsible for curriculum support, including occupational analyses and integrating new technologies, and for facilitating both school-based and work-based learning. Key duties involve preparing inclusive lesson plans, employing adult learning strategies, and ensuring the mainstreaming of Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. The role also includes assessing trainee progress through formative and summative evaluations, maintaining employer linkages to gather labor market information, and applying quality assurance processes. The instructor will contribute to TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, fostering a collaborative and disciplined learning environment.
Responsibilities
The Vocational Training Instructor will support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses and the integration of new technologies and career guidance. They will facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing venues, utilizing facilities, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive lesson plans. The role involves employing adult learning strategies, accommodating diverse needs, and integrating OSH and core skills. The instructor will prepare and conduct formative and summative assessments, including skills tests, and develop assessment plans. They will also maintain linkages with employers and utilize labor market information to identify skills gaps. Applying quality assurance processes, supporting TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, and collaborating with staff to ensure a positive learning environment are also key responsibilities. This includes coordinating teaching, maintaining discipline, and implementing OSH measures.
