Job Purpose

This Vocational Training Instructor role is crucial for developing and delivering specialized solar system training within UNRWA's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program. The instructor will design curricula, facilitate hands-on learning, and assess trainee competency, ensuring alignment with industry standards and UNRWA's quality assurance framework. The purpose is to equip Palestine refugees with essential vocational skills, enhancing their employability and potential for human development. This involves creating an inclusive learning environment, integrating new technologies, and fostering linkages with employers to address labor market needs, ultimately contributing to the self-reliance and well-being of the refugee community.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include supporting the design and development of learning programs and curricula, conducting competency analyses, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. The instructor will facilitate school-based and work-based learning, manage training venues and equipment, and employ adult learning strategies, including accommodating trainees with disabilities and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH). Preparing and conducting formative and summative assessments, developing assessment tools, and evaluating knowledge and practical skills are also vital. The role involves maintaining employer linkages, utilizing labor market information, and applying quality assurance processes. Additionally, supporting TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring a respectful and disciplined learning environment are expected.
