TVET Instructor - Artificial Intelligence
Organizational Context
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is a UN entity providing assistance and protection to approximately 5.8 million registered Palestine refugees across Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank and Gaza Strip. As the largest UN operation in the Middle East, UNRWA offers education, healthcare, and social services, funded primarily by voluntary contributions. The TVET Instructor role reports to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal.
Job Purpose
The TVET Instructor is responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of learning programs and curricula in Artificial Intelligence. This includes conducting competency analyses, developing learning materials, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. The role involves facilitating both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies, and ensuring inclusive training for all students, including those with disabilities. The instructor will design and administer formative and summative assessments, build linkages with employers, and utilize labor market information to address skills gaps. Additionally, the position supports greening and digitalization initiatives within TVET, collaborates with colleagues, and maintains a positive learning environment while adhering to Occupational Health and Safety standards.
Responsibilities
Supports the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including competency analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating emerging technologies and career guidance. Facilitates school-based and work-based learning by preparing training venues, utilizing facilities, developing inclusive lesson plans, and managing learning environments. Designs and conducts formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, and develops assessment tools. Builds linkages with employers and collects labor market information to identify and address skills gaps. Applies quality assurance processes and supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives. Collaborates with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, while supporting Occupational Health and Safety measures.
