ASP.net Developer (EMIS)
Organizational Context
The UNRWA Education Department is digitalizing its core functions, including the implementation of the EMIS Premises Module for digitizing school infrastructure data. This role is part of the Information Management - Headquarters Amman team, supporting the Education System's digital transformation and evidence-based decision-making.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain various modules of the Education System, specifically focusing on the EMIS Premises Module. This involves building new web pages, updating existing components, developing reports, and ensuring system security. The role contributes to the digitalization of the UNRWA education system by enhancing data collection, management, and visualization of school infrastructure, thereby supporting evidence-based decision-making and the overall digital transformation of educational functions.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain various modules of the Education System, including building and updating web pages using ASP.NET. Enhance system functionality and develop/update reports for system modules. Provide daily support, analyze system requirements, and create/maintain web APIs. Conduct bug fixes, perform quality assurance, and review code for security testing of new/updated pages. Prepare technical documents and user manuals, and deliver monthly progress reports with backlog tracking.
Work Experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in web applications development using ASP.NET and MS SQL Server is required. Experience in analyzing system requirements, bug fixing, and quality assurance is also essential.
