TVET Instructor - Civil Engineer

Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Civil Engineering. The incumbent will be responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses, learning materials, and integrating new technologies. They will facilitate learning in classrooms, workshops, and workplaces, employing adult learning strategies and ensuring inclusivity for trainees with disabilities. A key aspect is designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, including practical skills tests and evaluating core skills and Occupational Health and Safety (OSH). The role also involves building linkages with employers, utilizing labor market information, and applying quality assurance frameworks to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the design and development of TVET learning programs and curricula, conducting occupational analyses, and drafting learning materials. The role involves facilitating the delivery of school-based and work-based learning, preparing training venues, utilizing facilities and equipment, and managing learning environments. This includes employing adult learning strategies, integrating trainees with special needs, and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. The incumbent will design and conduct formative and summative assessments, develop assessment tools, and build linkages with employers and industry professionals. They will also apply quality assurance processes, support TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
