Organizational Context
The International Trade Centre (ITC) supports SMEs in developing countries to enhance competitiveness and promote digital trade. This role is within the "Empowering youth through digital technologies" project in Sierra Leone, focusing on boosting youth employment and entrepreneurship by strengthening SMEs' digital economy presence and competitiveness.
Job Purpose
The Graphic Designer Consultant will develop branding and promotional materials for 12-15 Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sierra Leone. This initiative aims to enhance their market positioning, improve product/service presentation, and increase visibility across offline and digital channels. The role contributes to the project's goal of boosting youth employment and entrepreneurship by strengthening the digital economy presence of SMEs.
Responsibilities
Under the E-commerce Programme Officer's supervision, the consultant will review MSME briefs, understand their products, services, and objectives, and coordinate with project teams. Key duties include developing branding packages for 12-15 MSMEs, encompassing logo design, mini branding guidelines, business cards (digital and print), thank-you cards, product/packaging branding, and social media templates. The consultant will ensure materials are visually coherent, professional, suitable for digital and print use, incorporate feedback through revisions, and deliver all editable source files and final assets.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in graphic design and branding is required. Experience developing visual identities and marketing materials for SMEs, working with diverse business sectors, and familiarity with entrepreneurship development programs are desirable. A professional client portfolio is mandatory.
