The TVET Instructor role reports to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre.
Job Purpose
The TVET Instructor (Surveying Engineering) is responsible for supporting the design, development, and facilitation of learning programs and curricula within their specialization. This includes conducting competency analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies. The role involves delivering both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies, and ensuring inclusive training for all students, including those with disabilities. The instructor will design and conduct formative and summative assessments, build linkages with employers and industry professionals, and utilize labor market information to inform training content. A key aspect is applying quality assurance processes and supporting UNRWA's TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, including facilitating synchronous and asynchronous training sessions. Collaboration with colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) standards are also crucial.
Responsibilities
Develop and support learning programs and curricula, including competency analyses, drafting learning guides, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing venues, utilizing facilities and equipment, developing inclusive lesson plans, and managing learning environments. Employ adult learning strategies, integrating trainees with disabilities and special needs, and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Design and conduct formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, and develop assessment tools. Build linkages with employers and industry professionals, collect and utilize labor market information to identify skills gaps. Apply quality assurance tools and processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Support TVET greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing relevant programs and integrating digital skills. Collaborate with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities. Support OSH measures and report incidents and risks.
