Job Purpose

This role supports the design, development, and facilitation of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Graphic Design. The instructor is responsible for curriculum development, including competency analysis, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies. They will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, ensuring inclusive training plans, managing learning environments, and employing adult learning strategies. The position involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, building linkages with employers, and utilizing labor market information to align training with industry needs. Additionally, the role supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, collaborates with colleagues, and ensures a safe and disciplined learning environment, contributing to the overall quality and relevance of UNRWA's educational services for Palestine refugees.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine learning programs and curricula, including conducting competency analyses, creating program profiles, learning guides, and manuals. Assess and integrate emerging technologies into Graphic Design specializations, and incorporate career guidance. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing training venues, utilizing facilities, developing inclusive lesson plans, and managing learning activities in classrooms, workshops, and workplaces. Employ adult learning strategies, integrating trainees with disabilities and special needs, and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Design and administer formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, developing assessment tools and plans. Build and maintain relationships with employers, workers, and other TVET instructors, collecting and analyzing labor market information to identify skills gaps. Apply quality assurance processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Support greening and digitalization initiatives in TVET, designing and delivering digital and green learning programs. Collaborate with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, ensuring OSH measures are in place and reporting incidents.
