Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, specifically for Mechanic trade theory. The incumbent will contribute to curriculum development, facilitate inclusive learning experiences in classrooms and workshops, and employ adult learning strategies. A key aspect involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments to evaluate trainee competency. The position also focuses on building linkages with employers, utilizing labor market information to ensure program relevance, and applying quality assurance frameworks. Furthermore, the role supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating relevant skills into training and facilitating both synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions.
Responsibilities
Supports the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. Facilitates the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, preparing training venues, managing facilities, and employing adult learning strategies, including for trainees with disabilities and special needs, while mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Designs and conducts formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based skills tests, developing assessment plans and tools. Builds linkages with employers and industry professionals, utilizing labor market information to identify and address skills gaps. Applies quality assurance tools and processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, designing and implementing relevant learning programs and integrating green and digital skills. Collaborates with colleagues to coordinate teaching and learning, maintain a respectful environment, and support OSH measures.
