This role reports to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre.
Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and delivery of vocational training programs, specifically in culinary arts, for Palestine refugees. The incumbent will contribute to curriculum development, facilitate inclusive learning experiences in classrooms and workshops, and employ adult learning strategies. Key responsibilities include preparing and conducting formative and summative assessments, maintaining linkages with employers to gather labor market information, and applying quality assurance frameworks. The position also supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, collaborates with colleagues to foster a respectful learning environment, and ensures adherence to Occupational Health and Safety standards. The ultimate goal is to help refugees achieve their full potential in human development through relevant and quality vocational education.
Responsibilities
Supports the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. Facilitates school-based and work-based learning by setting up venues, utilizing facilities, preparing lesson plans, and delivering instruction using adult learning strategies, while accommodating trainees with disabilities and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Prepares and conducts formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based skills tests, and develops assessment plans. Maintains linkages with employers and TVET instructors, collects labor market information, and supports skills gap analyses. Applies quality assurance tools and processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating relevant skills into training. Collaborates with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, while supporting OSH measures and reporting incidents.
