The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Job Purpose
Provide specialized technical assistance for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of activities within the project 'Strengthening the National Multisectoral Response to Reduce the Burden of Antimicrobial Resistance in Honduras', funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), under the One Health approach.
Responsibilities
Support the planning and monitoring of project activities, including micro-planning and tracking implementation. Coordinate technically and facilitate multisectoral articulation with national institutions and intersectoral committees. Support the development, updating, and monitoring of technical instruments, including legal frameworks, situation analyses, and national plans related to antimicrobial resistance. Prepare technical documents, reports, and progress updates as per consultancy deliverables.
Work Experience
Essential: Minimum of three years of experience in health project management, results-based management, public health, or related fields. Experience in results-based programming. Desirable: Experience in areas related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR), One Health, epidemiological surveillance, rational medicine use, infection prevention and control, intersectoral coordination, or international cooperation project implementation.
Skills
Skills in planning, monitoring, and managing public health projects; coordination and articulation with national institutions, international organizations, and multisectoral actors; and elaboration, analysis, and systematization of technical reports and documents. Knowledge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the One Health approach; the health system of Honduras and intersectoral coordination mechanisms; and the national regulatory and strategic framework for AMR.
