Consultant Senior Project Associate (DTM Graphic Design)
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Chad seeks a Senior Project Associate for DTM Graphic Design. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and DTM Coordinator, this role collaborates with information management teams to visually translate data on population displacement and migration dynamics into clear, accessible communication products.
Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate (DTM Graphic Design) provides technical support for the design, layout, and finalization of DTM's information and communication products. This role is crucial for visually translating complex data and analysis on population movements and migration trends into clear, accessible formats that adhere to IOM and DTM standards. The associate will contribute significantly to producing high-quality reports, fact sheets, infographics, presentations, and maps for national authorities, donors, and humanitarian partners, enhancing the visibility and impact of DTM's work in Chad.
Responsibilities
Develop infographics, fact sheets, static dashboards, bulletins, and brochures. Produce visuals for donor reports, institutional presentations, and communication materials. Design visual dashboards to facilitate the interpretation of migration trends. Support analysis teams in the graphical representation of results. Develop standardized templates for recurring DTM publications. Create thematic maps related to migration flows, displacements, and routes, collaborating with DTM GIS specialists. Produce maps for analytical reports, presentations, and advocacy materials. Participate in the visual review of reports before publication, ensuring the integration of maps, graphics, and illustrations into final products. Verify the graphical and editorial quality of documents and contribute to the continuous improvement of DTM reporting models. Design visual content for social media, events, workshops, and donor visits, highlighting DTM project outcomes. Support the preparation of presentations for government partners and donors.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in graphic design, visual communication, or data visualization is required. Experience within a humanitarian organization or a UN agency is highly desirable. Proven experience in designing summary dashboards for dissemination, analytical reports, and information products is essential.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Excellent command of Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience in layout for institutional reports. Expertise in infographics and data visualization. Strong understanding of visual communication principles.
