Job Purpose

This Caseworker role is crucial for facilitating the integration of Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) in Ireland. The primary purpose is to provide essential support, ensuring BOTPs can access vital services, language programs, and individualized assistance. By addressing their needs and promoting access to resources, the role directly contributes to the successful integration of vulnerable individuals into Irish society. The position involves direct engagement with BOTPs, conducting assessments, providing information, and referring cases as needed, all while supporting the broader project objectives of IOM in Ireland. This function is key to upholding IOM's mandate of promoting humane and orderly migration.

Responsibilities

The Caseworker will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, including retrieving, compiling, and analyzing data. A key duty involves supporting the Senior Integration Associate in developing and executing the integration strategy through research. The role requires conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments for BOTPs, providing individualized case support, and disseminating crucial information. Coordination with internal units and external parties is essential for administrative processes and program implementation. The Caseworker will also be responsible for maintaining records, organizing meetings, and drafting reports and correspondence. Additionally, the role involves participating in meetings, assisting in monitoring partner activities, and potentially providing guidance to junior staff, all while ensuring compliance with project requirements and reporting any non-compliance.

Work Experience

Required experience includes demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, or victims of trafficking is essential. Prior experience in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations or governmental/non-governmental institutions is advantageous.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of migration-related subjects and strong case management skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is also necessary.
