Organizational Context

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a UN agency established in 1951, promotes humane and orderly migration. The IOM Morocco mission implements projects across three pillars: Migration, Development and Governance; Protection and Resilience; and Support to marginalized youth. This consultancy supports the Strategic Development and Management unit, contributing to a coherent mission approach.

Job Purpose

This Project Support Consultant role is crucial for the IOM Morocco mission, directly supporting the Head of Programmes and the Strategic Development and Management unit. The consultant will provide essential operational and administrative support to various projects across the mission's three pillars. Key contributions include assisting with project development, reporting, fostering strategic partnerships, and organizing events and trainings. By ensuring efficient reporting, project monitoring, and quality control of documents and data, the consultant will enhance the accuracy and reliability of information, streamline workflows, maintain accountability, and enable informed decision-making. This role is vital for effective project delivery, ensuring alignment with IOM's mission and specific project objectives in Morocco.

Responsibilities

Provide operational and administrative support to IOM Morocco's programmatic units, assisting with project development, fund mobilization, monitoring, reporting, and communication. Lead or support initiatives to strengthen linkages between the Protection and Migration, Development, and Governance departments. Conduct quality control reviews of project, reporting, and communication documents. Support the collection and submission of project-related documents. Assist in developing and implementing private sector engagement strategies. Verify and support data entry on the PRIMA-for-All platform, including monitoring and evaluation tasks. Prepare briefing notes, correspondence, and other program-related documents. Support event planning and calendar management for activities like donor visits and training sessions. Compile meeting minutes and perform related administrative duties. Undertake any other assigned tasks.

Work Experience

Experience working with UN agencies, international organizations, government institutions, or development partners is required. Experience in migration and development programming, project support, monitoring, reporting, and project development is essential. Prior experience supporting the organization of trainings, workshops, conferences, donor visits, and other events is also necessary.

Skills

Strong drafting, reporting, and communication skills. Good organizational and coordination abilities for managing multiple tasks and supporting teams. Experience with data management, monitoring and evaluation processes, quality assurance, and information management tools.
