Job Purpose
This position is crucial for supporting the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of IOM's activities in Guyana, specifically concerning social integration, housing assistance, non-food item (NFI) distribution, and food assistance for beneficiaries. Responsibilities
The Senior Project Associate will manage individualized case management and referrals for migrants, ensuring needs are assessed and documented, and assistance is tracked for integration outcomes. Responsibilities include assisting in the design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of social integration, housing, NFI, and food assistance activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives and humanitarian standards. The role involves compiling and analyzing data on beneficiary needs and assistance provided, drafting activity and status reports, and preparing technical documentation. Additionally, the incumbent will act as a focal point for administrative coordination, organize meetings and training sessions, and maintain liaison with various stakeholders, including local authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs. Guidance and technical support to staff involved in distributions and programming, and potential supervision of field staff, are also key duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and IDPs is essential. Experience coordinating housing, shelter, food security, NFI, or community-based assistance programs, along with data management and beneficiary tracking, is also necessary. Prior work in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations is advantageous.
Skills

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, stakeholder coordination, and maintaining records is vital. Strong communication and relationship-building abilities are expected.
