ICAO Roster-Airport Operations/Management Expert
Organizational Context
Under the direction of the Director of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI), the Field Operations Section (FOS) develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and closes Technical Assistance (TA) and Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. The Field Personnel Section (FPS/FRU) recruits international experts for Capacity Development and Implementation projects in Civil Aviation and manages the ICAO Roster of Experts.
Job Purpose
To assess airport management structures, operations, and personnel qualifications. The role involves reviewing existing conditions and proposing improvements for airport management, operations, and human resources.
Responsibilities
Assess airport management structure, personnel qualifications, and regulations. Evaluate ground operation equipment, passenger terminal facilities, and aviation security. Review ICAO mission reports and civil aviation master plans. Prepare proposals for upgrading airport management, regulations, security, and human resources. Identify equipment needs for ground handling and propose improvements for airport operations, including parking, terminal facilities, and commercial activities.
Work Experience
Ten years of experience in airport management, covering technical, operational, personnel administration, and commercial aspects. Knowledge of technical aspects of aircraft operations and associated ground activities at airports is required.
