ICAO Roster-AIS/AIM Expert
Organizational Context
The Field Operations Section (FOS) within the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI) develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and closes Technical Assistance and Technical Cooperation projects. The Field Personnel Section (FPS/FRU) recruits international experts and manages the ICAO Roster of Experts for these projects.
Job Purpose
To provide expertise in Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) to support the automation and quality management of AIS, and to assist in the transition to AIM.
Responsibilities
Assist in AIS automation and documentation, implement quality management systems (ISO) in AIS according to ICAO SARPs, develop AIS training materials, conduct training, and support the transition from AIS to AIM. Prepare job descriptions and work plans for AIS development.
Work Experience
Extensive experience (10+ years) in Air Navigation Services (ANS) and Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) at a senior or supervisory level. Experience in developing ATC procedures, aeronautical charts, managing AIS, participating in ISO and AIS automation, and knowledge of ICAO SARPs and PANS related to AIS. Experience in providing AIS training is required.
