ICAO Roster-Aircraft Incident/Accident Expert (Airworthiness)
Organizational Context
Under the direction of the Director of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI), the Field Operations Section (FOS) develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and closes Technical Assistance (TA) and Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. The Field Personnel Section (FPS/FRU) recruits international experts for these projects and manages the ICAO Roster of Experts.
Job Purpose
To provide expertise in aircraft incident and accident investigation from an airworthiness perspective. The role involves developing investigation procedures, manuals, and providing training to staff.
Responsibilities
Prepare accident/incident investigation procedures, including duties, responsibilities, and checklists. Develop an Accident Investigation Policy and Procedures Manual and/or an Investigation Training Manual. Provide training to staff. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of senior-level experience in accident/incident investigation with an airworthiness focus. Experience in the preparation and implementation of accident investigation rules, regulations, and manuals is essential. In-depth knowledge of ICAO publications related to accident investigation is required.
