Organizational Context

Under the direction of the Director of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI), the Field Operations Section (FOS) develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and closes Technical Assistance (TA) and Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. The Field Personnel Section (FPS/FRU) recruits international experts for these projects and manages the ICAO Roster of Experts.

Job Purpose

To provide expertise in aircraft incident and accident investigation from a flight operations perspective. The role involves developing investigation procedures, manuals, and providing training to staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare accident/incident investigation procedures, including duties, responsibilities, and checklists. Develop and present an Accident Investigation Policy and Procedures Manual and/or an Investigation Training Manual. Provide training to staff. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Experience

Extensive experience at a senior level in accident/incident investigation from a flight operations perspective, with direct responsibility in the preparation and implementation of rules, regulations, and manuals related to accident investigations. In-depth knowledge of ICAO publications related to accident investigation. Ability to write manuals and reports.
