Job Purpose
The Project Field Coordinator will support the Transformative Climate-Resilient Agriculture (CRA) project by translating project concepts into practical field-level actions. This role requires effective community mobilization, engaging farmers and local groups to ensure participation and foster inclusive ownership of project interventions. The coordinator will manage field operations, facilitate communication, solve problems, and support monitoring and learning activities to ensure successful project implementation and impact. The position is based in Ilagan, Isabela or Tuguegarao, Cagayan Province, with extensive field missions within these provinces.
Responsibilities
Assist in refining the project workplan, including scoping, mapping, and baseline activities like LGU engagement and household profiling. Coordinate with provincial and local government partners, stakeholders, and community organizations to ensure smooth project implementation and organize validation activities. Strengthen partnerships and inter-agency coordination at the provincial level. Conduct regular field visits to oversee timely implementation of activities, including beneficiary targeting, training, cash-for-work programs, and deployment of agricultural inputs. Provide technical advice at the community level on climate-resilient practices and sustainable interventions. Maintain communication with LGUs and community leaders to support mobilization and participation. Organize trainings and workshops for capacity development. Assist in coordinating field-level procurement and logistics. Support cash-based interventions, including beneficiary verification and monitoring. Assist in MEAL activities, maintaining databases, tracking outputs, and contributing to reports. Proactively address operational bottlenecks and prepare regular progress reports. Represent the project at provincial meetings and perform other related duties.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of relevant experience in agriculture/rural development sectors, project implementation, capacity building, and coordination with government structures, NGOs, the private sector, and UN agencies.
Skills
Results Focus, Teamwork, Communication, Building Effective Relationships, Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement. Ability to work under pressure in complex environments and within diverse teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Filipino. Strong report writing skills. Willingness to travel to project sites. Working knowledge of local dialects is an advantage. Proficiency in standard office software (MS Office).
