Job Purpose
The Business Support Associate - Supply Chain is responsible for providing specialized operational, administrative, and coordination support across key supply chain management functions. This includes overseeing procurement processes, managing contracts, coordinating logistics, ensuring accurate inventory management, and fostering strong vendor relations. The role is critical for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of goods and services, directly contributing to the successful implementation of WFP's programmes and the achievement of organizational objectives in Cambodia. The incumbent will support data-driven decision-making, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the effective delivery of strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve coordinating comprehensive end-to-end supply chain operations, encompassing procurement, contracting, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services. This includes managing sourcing and vendor engagement, from market assessments and supplier selection through contract preparation and performance monitoring. A key duty is overseeing the movement, storage, and control of supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking shipments, and ensuring customs clearance and procedural compliance. The role also requires maintaining supply chain information systems, analyzing operational data, and generating reports for planning, performance monitoring, and informed decision-making. Furthermore, it involves supporting financial and operational planning, including budget monitoring, resource management, risk mitigation, and adherence to organizational policies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, supervising staff, and contributing to emergency preparedness and continuous process improvement are also essential aspects of this position.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, warehousing, or similar operational fields. Experience in supply and demand planning, inventory management, transportation, sourcing, contract administration, and vendor performance management is also desired. Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools for data analysis and reporting is beneficial.
