Job Purpose

The IT Solution and Automation Assistant will support business teams in improving productivity through process automation and technical assistance for IT solution development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and user training. This role will focus on the design, adoption, and sustainability of low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. The incumbent will contribute to automation initiatives, Digital Do-It-Yourself efforts, and provide user support and training across the Regional Bureau and Country Offices. Key responsibilities include developing and enhancing solutions with Power Platform tools, identifying opportunities for digitization and automation, assisting in solution design and testing, maintaining technical documentation, and delivering user training and support. The role also involves supporting the development of dashboards and reports for process monitoring and performance analysis.

The Technology Division (TEC) is crucial for WFP's digital transformation, providing resilient technical capabilities to support humanitarian operations. This role, based in Cairo, focuses on enhancing productivity through process automation and IT solutions. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and enhancing solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Forms, Power BI). The job holder will collaborate with business units to identify automation opportunities, translate requirements into digital solutions, and ensure solutions are reliable and aligned with WFP standards. Key tasks also involve creating technical documentation, delivering user training and support, and developing dashboards for monitoring business processes and operational performance. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and experience with cloud platforms and database management systems.

Work Experience

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT, digital solutions, business applications, or process automation. Essential experience includes developing and supporting low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Forms). Candidates must also have experience providing user support, training, and documentation for digital tools, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with cloud platforms, database management systems, and API development is also required.
