Job Purpose
The International Consultant - Partnership Officer Level II will be instrumental in strengthening WFP's engagement with public, private, and external partners in Afghanistan. The incumbent will proactively identify, develop, and manage partnerships, utilizing data-driven insights to expand support from existing partners and explore new opportunities. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and proposal development skills to enhance WFP's positioning and influence policy agendas.
Responsibilities
The role involves implementing partnership work plans to identify, develop, and strengthen collaborations supporting WFP's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include contributing to a partnerships portfolio through profiling and outreach, aiming to maximize resources and leverage policy/technical support. This entails using data to propose ideas for expanding support from existing partners and identifying new ones, enhancing WFP's impact and diversifying its resource base. The position requires collating and disseminating political and humanitarian analysis, including donor policies and trends, to inform operational reporting. It also involves soliciting inputs from various WFP entities to brief partner audiences on programmatic offerings and drafting strategic briefs for senior staff to guide decision-making and nurture partnerships. Furthermore, the role necessitates gathering and presenting data from diverse sources, utilizing information systems to support WFP's positioning with governments and institutions, and influencing policy agendas. Contributing to partnership and resource mobilization strategies, developing partner proposals and reports, and providing technical recommendations for preparedness actions are also crucial. Work Experience
Requires five years of relevant postgraduate professional experience in partnerships, fundraising, advocacy, communications, marketing, or strategy development. Must have experience in building and managing partnerships, including proposal development, report input, agreement drafting, visibility planning, and joint strategy creation.
