Job Purpose
Join UNICEF's global Data & Analytics team in Florence and help shape the evidence that drives action for children worldwide. We are seeking a talented and passionate Statistics and Monitoring Officer - Nutrition to contribute to UNICEF's mission of ending child malnutrition through high-quality data, innovative analytics, and evidence-based advocacy. In this role, you will work with leading international experts, analyze large-scale household survey data, contribute to global nutrition databases and estimates, and support cutting-edge initiatives in data automation, visualization, and statistical systems strengthening. Responsibilities
The Statistics and Monitoring Officer (Nutrition) will support UNICEF’s global nutrition monitoring and evidence generation efforts by managing and analyzing nutrition data, maintaining global databases, and producing high-quality statistics and estimates for global reporting and advocacy. The role will strengthen countries’ capacity to monitor nutrition through technical support and training, contribute to the dissemination of data and evidence through publications and digital platforms, and collaborate with UNICEF teams and global partners on nutrition initiatives. The incumbent will also help improve data systems and workflows through innovation, automation, and standardization to enhance the quality, accessibility, and use of nutrition data worldwide.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in statistical analysis, data management, and monitoring, preferably in the field of nutrition or public health, is required. Experience with large-scale survey data analysis and statistical software is essential.
