The purpose of the Finance Officer role is to contribute to the maintenance of robust financial internal controls, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources and safeguarding of UNICEF assets through accurate and timely financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders. This role supports the goal of maintaining sound systems of financial internal controls, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources and safeguarding of UNICEF assets.

Responsibilities

The Accounts Officer will contribute to the maintenance of sound financial internal controls, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources and safeguarding of UNICEF assets through accurate and timely financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders. Key functions include Financial Analysis and Monitoring, Oversight of office compliance, Reporting for assigned financial processes, Preparation and Maintenance of UNICEF Policies and Procedures, and Systems management. The role involves performing other duties to support the P3 Finance Specialist, the AMU P4 Finance Manager and the FRAM team, as required, and providing back-up to the P3 Finance Specialist during absences. This position is crucial for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of UNICEF's financial operations.

Work Experience

2 years of relevant work experience in Accounting and Auditing, Financial Analysis and Monitoring, Financial Auditing, or any other related fields.
