Job Purpose
The People and Culture Officer P2 will partner with managers and staff to support them in achieving their goals and strategies, with a focus on emergency and humanitarian initiatives. This role offers opportunities to develop proficiency in strategic Human Resources, management, and business partnering, as well as data collection and analysis for knowledge management and decision-making. The officer will collaborate with UNICEF's global Human Resources community to exchange knowledge and insights. Under supervision, the role involves executing HR services by applying HR models, organizational policies, and procedures, contributing to business partnering, strategic HR, and learning and capacity development.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision, guidance and coaching of the People and Culture manager and in close collaboration with other People and Culture team members, the People and Culture Officer P2 will provide support to clients by executing HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures. The Officer will be responsible for business partnering, strategic Human resources, support to implementation of assigned HR services, and learning and capacity development. This includes supporting managers and staff in achieving their goals and strategies, particularly within emergency and humanitarian contexts. The role involves data collection and analysis to support knowledge management, reporting, and decision-making processes. Collaboration with UNICEF's global People and Culture Team is essential for exchanging knowledge and insights regarding Human Resources and business partnering. The officer will execute HR services, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures, and contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives.
Work Experience
Two years of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
