Job Purpose
The People and Culture Officer, reporting to the People and Culture Manager, provides essential support by executing HR services. This role involves applying knowledge of theoretical HR models and organizational policies and procedures to assist the supervisor and colleagues. The officer will be involved in key functions such as Business Partnering, Strategic Human Resources, supporting the implementation of assigned Human Resources Services, Learning and Capacity Development, and HR Data Analytics. The position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the country office, contributing to the overall mission of UNICEF to advocate for every child.
Responsibilities
The People and Culture Officer will support the People and Culture Manager in delivering comprehensive HR services. Key accountabilities include acting as a Business Partner to support management and staff on HR-related matters, contributing to Strategic Human Resources initiatives, and ensuring the effective implementation of assigned HR services. This involves managing recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. The role also encompasses supporting Learning and Capacity Development by identifying training needs and coordinating relevant programs. Furthermore, the officer will be responsible for HR Data Analytics, generating reports and insights to inform HR strategies and decision-making. This includes maintaining HR information systems, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting policy implementation. The position requires strong research, planning, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive and productive work environment, aligning with UNICEF's commitment to its staff and the children it serves.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Management within an international organization or large corporation, or related fields, is required.
