Job Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Wellbeing, the Wellbeing Officer (P-2) will be part of the Division of People and Culture (DPC) and will support the HQ and global staff counselling team in fostering the wellbeing and good mental health of UNICEF staff, their families, and teams worldwide. This role involves close coordination with Staff Counsellors and the Chief of Staff Wellbeing, contributing to UNICEF's global wellbeing priorities. The officer will play a key role in developing resources, managing digital platforms, coordinating global communications and events, and supporting key wellbeing programmes like the Peer Support Volunteer and Wellness Advocate initiatives, as well as Mental Health First Aid trainings and Psychosocial Risk Management.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Staff Wellbeing Team by researching, developing, and maintaining global wellbeing resources, assessing staff needs, consulting with staff counsellors, researching best practices, identifying resource gaps, and coordinating the creation of various resource formats (videos, guides, podcasts, fact sheets). 2. Develop and manage the Staff Wellbeing SharePoint site, Viva Engage community, and AGORA learning platform, gathering user feedback, collaborating with staff counsellors on content, and ensuring platforms are updated and actively engaged. 3. Coordinate global wellbeing communication and promote events/initiatives, aligning with organizational trends, driving campaigns like World Mental Health Day, and collaborating with internal communications teams. 4. Provide administrative coordination for the global Peer Support Volunteer (PSV) Programme and its transition to the Wellness Advocate (WA) Programme, including managing training materials, coordinating Mental Health First Aid trainings, supporting Psychosocial Risk Management roll-out, and communicating programme changes. 5. Coordinate the global Deployment Briefing System, managing briefing requests and monitoring their progress.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in staff wellbeing, mental health support, human resources, or programme coordination is required. Experience in an international organization is an asset.
