Job Purpose
The Programme Officer (NutriNorte) at P-2 level will be instrumental in the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of integrated, community-level, multisectoral nutrition interventions within the NutriNorte programme. This role focuses on supporting programme execution, ensuring seamless integration across health, nutrition, WASH, and Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) components. The officer will foster strong partner engagement and ensure adherence to donor requirements, contributing to the reduction of stunting in targeted districts by delivering essential interventions at the community level and supporting long-term resilience and development.
Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of NutriNorte programme activities in designated districts, ensuring timely and quality delivery of health and nutrition, WASH, and SBC interventions. This includes supporting the development and implementation of work plans, budgets, and operational strategies aligned with programme objectives. The role involves close collaboration with implementing partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and synergy across sectors. The officer will also be responsible for monitoring programme progress, identifying challenges, and proposing timely solutions, as well as contributing to the preparation of donor reports, financial updates, and other required documentation. Furthermore, the position requires active participation in knowledge management activities, documenting lessons learned, and supporting capacity-building initiatives for partners and staff to enhance programme effectiveness and sustainability.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme management, coordination, or implementation in the field of nutrition, public health, or development, preferably in a humanitarian or complex emergency context, is required. Experience working with UN agencies or international NGOs is an asset.
