Job Purpose
The Programme Analyst, Quality Assurance plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of UNFPA's programming. This position contributes to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and tools, including AI-powered solutions, to support robust results planning, monitoring, and reporting. The role provides essential analytical inputs for guidelines and standards related to quality programming, and supports strategic visioning processes. By coordinating quality assurance exercises and producing evidence-based analyses, briefs, and presentations, the incumbent informs programming reports and advisory notes, ensuring alignment with UNFPA's strategic objectives and field-centered responsiveness.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst, Quality Assurance is responsible for contributing to the development, revision, and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and tools, including AI-powered solutions, to support results planning, monitoring, and reporting. This includes ensuring programme documents align with UNFPA strategic plan priorities and established standards. The role provides analysis and substantive inputs for guidelines and tools related to quality programming and supports strategic dialogues and theory of change processes. Additionally, the incumbent supports the planning and delivery of quality assurance exercises, produces evidence-based analyses, briefs, and presentations on programming quality, and coordinates the maintenance of key communication products and databases on programming quality.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of relevant experience in international development, public health, or related fields, with prior regional or country-level experience being an asset. Experience in data management, statistical analysis, and quality assurance is essential. Demonstrable expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, application of AI and digital solutions, and monitoring and evaluation are highly desirable.
