Associate Donor Relations and Project Support Officer

Organizational Context

This role, reporting to the Field Programme Support Officer, is situated within this significant humanitarian operation.

Job Purpose

This role supports the project manager in the day-to-day delivery of REPAC project components, focusing on construction, rehabilitation, and environmental/social impact. The incumbent will identify and address potential project constraints related to budget, plans, and timelines, ensuring timely and quality goal achievement. Responsibilities include conducting field monitoring visits, developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance community awareness and donor visibility, and organizing stakeholder outreach meetings. The role involves liaising with external entities, coordinating with HQ departments for donor compliance and data consistency, and maintaining quality assurance throughout the project cycle. Additionally, the role contributes to project management by tracking results, identifying best practices, and compiling reports for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily delivery of REPAC project components, including construction, rehabilitation, and environmental/social impact aspects. Proactively identify and mitigate project constraints concerning budget, timelines, and quality. Conduct regular field monitoring visits to ensure adherence to project activities and quality standards. Develop and execute a communication strategy to boost community awareness and donor visibility, organizing outreach meetings with stakeholders. Liaise with external parties, including relevant government ministries. Coordinate with HQ departments to ensure donor compliance, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder engagement for quality assurance. Contribute to project planning and management by tracking results against targets and reporting deviations. Identify best practices and lessons learned, utilizing UNRWA's monitoring and evaluation tools. Compile data and draft progress and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in programme or project management, monitoring and evaluation, or administration is required. At least two years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA and the candidate's country of citizenship is also required. Experience in managing multi-programmatic or construction-intensive projects is desirable.
