Job Purpose
The Consultative Committee Expert provides crucial support to the Program Manager in coordinating the Consultative Committee's (CC) core activities: Institutional Relations and Strategy, Members Relations and Business Outreach, and Financial, Legal, and Internal Management. The role involves ensuring the effective coordination of the CC Secretariat's operational, administrative, and specialized functions. This includes contributing to strategy development, integrating the CC within the UPU's institutional framework, managing member relations and outreach, overseeing financial and legal aspects, and optimizing internal workflows. The Expert plays a key part in maintaining the CC's value proposition and fostering collaboration within the global postal sector.
Responsibilities
The Expert supports the Program Manager in coordinating the Consultative Committee's activities across Institutional Relations and Strategy, Members Relations and Business Outreach, and Financial, Legal, and Internal Management. Key duties include developing and monitoring CC strategy, integrating the CC within the UPU's institutional architecture, and fostering collaboration with UPU programs and the wider postal sector. Responsibilities also encompass drafting agendas, documents, and reports, and serving as a focal point for CC matters. The role involves developing tools for member feedback and engagement, overseeing events and communication strategies, and responding to member requests. Additionally, the Expert supports budget drafting and monitoring, ensures compliance with UPU regulations, optimizes internal Secretariat workflows, and supervises team members and interns.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience in private-public partnerships is required for candidates with a first-level university degree. Experience within the UPU or another UN agency is desirable. Candidates without a Bachelor's degree or equivalent must have eight years of relevant professional experience.
