Job Purpose
The PSEAH Officer is responsible for supporting IOM's prevention and response efforts to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) at the country level. Working under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission and in close coordination with regional and global PSEAH units, the role provides technical oversight and management support, adhering to a victim-centered approach. The officer will also actively participate in the inter-agency PSEA Network in the Pacific, contributing to collective efforts in addressing PSEAH issues within the migration context and ensuring IOM's commitment to a safe and respectful environment for all individuals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the development of an operational PSEAH Work Plan aligned with IOM and UN frameworks, and integrate PSEAH into IOM's strategy and programming. Contribute to the inter-agency PSEA Network, supporting work plans and standard operating procedures. Provide technical support for data collection and analysis related to PSEAH efforts, and showcase results through reporting and knowledge-sharing. Conduct risk assessments to identify SEAH risks and implement mitigation measures within IOM programming. Develop and deliver PSEAH training for IOM personnel and partners, and oversee registration and certification. Implement communication and awareness-raising strategies to promote PSEAH messaging and understanding of reporting channels and assistance. Support the development and mapping of victim assistance pathways and respond to SEAH disclosures, coordinating referrals and monitoring risks for victims/survivors.
Work Experience
Professional experience in sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), sexual harassment (SH), protection, child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), accountability to affected populations (AAP), gender mainstreaming, or humanitarian affairs. Experience in managing SEA/SH, child protection, or GBV cases. Strong coordination experience within the UN system and with interagency partners. Experience in developing and facilitating trainings, conducting risk assessments, proposal development, and mainstreaming protection-related themes.
Skills
Ability to work across diverse sectors on cross-cutting themes. Strong written and oral communication skills for representation and liaison. Ability to organize work independently, prioritize under pressure, and coordinate multiple tasks. Empathy, sensitivity, and a victim-centered approach when working with affected individuals. Knowledge of IOM's PSEAH and Ethics framework. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
