Job Purpose
The Project Development and Reporting Officer supports the coordination and facilitation of project development and donor reporting in migration management and emergency response. This role assists with liaison activities with government, UN agencies, and other stakeholders, aligning with IOM's regional and country strategies. The officer contributes to the development of results-based programs and projects, concept notes, and proposals, ensuring compliance with IOM and donor requirements. They also play a role in identifying funding opportunities, drafting donor reports, and maintaining effective relationships with partners and donors.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of results-based programs and projects, concept notes, and proposals in coordination with relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with IOM and donor requirements. Review resource needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and support the strategic alignment of projects. Assist in the endorsement process for project proposals and draft donor reports in compliance with IOM policies. Research funding opportunities, review calls for proposals, and develop donor profiles. Support effective working relationships with donor counterparts and project partners. Assist in drafting visibility materials and organizing donor briefings. Conduct capacity-building and training activities on program development and reporting. Maintain accurate records of project development and reporting files.
Work Experience
Experience in supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing, and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector. Experience in donor relations and grant management is required. Confirmed experience in donor report writing in humanitarian/development settings and familiarity with Results Based Management approaches are essential.
Skills
Good communication, writing, and organizational skills; ability to prepare clear reports. Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts. Demonstrated analytical and planning skills. Capacity to establish working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Good computer literacy, including database applications.
