Job Purpose
The Project Development and Reporting Officer supports the coordination and facilitation of project development and donor/institutional reporting in migration management and emergency response. This role assists with liaison activities with government counterparts, UN agencies, and other stakeholders, aligning with IOM's regional and country strategies. The position operates under the supervision of the Programme Support Officer, in collaboration with the Chief of Mission, Regional Office, and Headquarters.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of results-based programmes and project proposals, providing technical input and ensuring compliance with IOM and donor requirements. Review resource needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and align with IOM strategies. Support the endorsement process for proposals and assist in drafting donor reports. Research funding opportunities, review calls for proposals, and develop donor profiles. Maintain effective working relationships with donor counterparts and project partners. Draft visibility materials and organize donor briefings. Conduct capacity building and training on programme development and reporting. Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Work Experience
Experience in supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing, and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector. Experience in donor relations, grant management, and familiarity with Results-Based Management approaches are required.
Skills
Good communication, writing, and organizational skills. Ability to prepare clear reports. Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts. Strong analytical and planning skills. Capacity to establish working relationships with various stakeholders. Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Good computer literacy, including database applications.
